Great tasting food in a family style dinner was important to us in choosing the caterer for our wedding. We wanted to make sure our guests were able to share in a great meal together. Hoopla did a fantastic job!

Starting with our tasting, the Chefs were able to understand our tastes and come up with a spectacular menu. Everything from cocktail hour into dinner was delicious. The short rib is the best I've ever tasted. So many people have commented on the quality of the food since the wedding. The bar service was also excellent, and the bartenders made sure to take care of our guests.

The experience turned out to be everything we were hoping for and would definitely recommend Hoopla to anyone. Thank you to the entire team for a job well done!

Food was the most important thing to us as we planned our wedding, and we’re so glad we went with Hoopla. We have high standards for food and the team exceeded our expectations! Great Great Great Food! Dori, Kat, and the entire Hoopla team absolutely KILLED IT for our wedding weekend. During initial conversations, the menu was explained clearly, and the tasting dinner in particular was a delight. Dori and Kat also let us freestyle the menu a bit by customizing with items available in the restaurant (The Food Market - check them out!) that weren’t on the catering menu. Dori was also flexible in letting us pick and choose a bar package that worked for us - we aren’t heavy drinkers, but wanted a signature cocktail, so they came up with a mocktail with an optional alcoholic add-on that was a perfect addition!
On the day, the entire team set up quickly and quietly, allowing us to focus on getting ready in peace and quiet (the reception was at a B&B, with guests staying upstairs and the catering setup downstairs). Everyone - from the chefs to the waitstaff, bartenders to setup crew - were absolute delights to work with, even in 90+ degree heat. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Hoopla catering to anyone that wants to have top-notch catering at their event!

We truly don't have enough words to express how grateful we are for everything the entire Hoopla team did to make our wedding so special. From the very beginning, you all weren't just our caterers - you were our partners, advisors, and friends through every step of the planning process. Since working at the University of Michigan, our events team has never had the opportunity to plan an event for our Baltimore area donors, so we did a lot of searching to find just the right caterer for our event. Luckily, we found Hoopla! Catering on Instagram, and we thought they would be a great fit. I appreciated how flexible they were in booking and then helping us coordinate a site visit since the event was in a unique venue that required additional work on their part.

Turns out, they were more than a great fit, but they exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail with menu selections gave our guests so many opportunities to enjoy a variety of Baltimore specialities. Not only was the food delicious, but with the strolling dinner layout, the catering team was thoughtful in giving our guests the experience of seeing how each food item came together in front of their eyes.

Hoopla was the perfect caterer for our employee March Madness themed party! Dori, Kat and their team understood my vision of "stadium food but boujee" and brought it to life - from the fun linens to the popcorn, soft pretzel, nacho and hot dog displays - it was perfect. We worked with Hoopla for our wedding back in December, and it was a great experience from start to finish! Dori was super quick in putting a proposal together for us and even being flexible when we had to accommodate a guest who had an unexpected health condition along the way that impacted their food choice.

One of the highlights for us during the whole wedding planning process was doing a tasting with Dori and her team. We had a blast just engaging with Dori and the chefs, and we truly felt like we were part of the process as we were sharing our thoughts along the way.

My husband and I are local to Baltimore so when we started to plan our wedding, Hoopla was the only choice for food. Food Market is our favorite restaurant in the city and their catering experience gave us the exact same experience we love. We cannot thank the team enough for their help and support. As a newly Gluten Free bride, the team customized ALL the deserts and made a special Gluten Free salad for my dinner. Our guests rave about our wedding food months after our October wedding.

We decided to do a buffet, which I was nervous about, but the staff served our guests to keep our lines moving, allowed for everyone to be fed quickly, and second portions were given to those in need.

During our tasting the chefs were on hand in the Private Dining room to hear feedback and offer adjustments in real time (gluten free). Dori took away all the stress I gave myself on seating plans, table set up, and linens. Just wow from start to finish, I cannot imagine a better partner to make our wedding perfect and seamless.
